Two seriously injured in A272 crash
Emergency services were called at 4.50pm yesterday (Wednesday) to the A272 at Shipley, at the junction with Shipley Road.
A Peugeot van, driven by a 78-year old man, with a 77-year old woman passenger, both from Billingshurst, had collided with a road sweeper truck, a police spokesman said.

Hide AdThe woman was taken by air ambulance to St Georges Hospital in South London, and the man was taken by land ambulance to the Royal Sussex County Hospital. Both are in a serious condition.
Police said the truck driver was unhurt.
