Tye fencing victory for campaigners
A four-day public inquiry was held in August into plans for fencing which would have divided the Tye into two for part of the year.
Three lengths of fencing would have been put up if proposals from the South Downs Joint Committee, acting on behalf of owner Telscombe Town Council, were approved, allowing the common to be grazed.

He said the fences would create a sense of division between the public rights of way and common land as well as providing a barrier to to access of the common land.
