THANK YOU: On behalf of the Willingdon Branch of the Royal British Legion, we would like to thank everyone for the fantastic involvement of in the Remembrance Parades held on Sunday at St Mary’s Church, Willingdon in the morning and at the Ruthless Memorial on Butts Brow in the afternoon. A special thanks to Father Kevin Agnew for taking the services. The Kingfisher Scout Band for the marching music. LESS HAPPY NOTE: On a less happy note, to the person who tore down the large poppies in Church Street, and Huggetts Lane. They were installed with the permission of the parish council and Highways England and were there in remembrance of the fallen of Willingdon. Hide AdWANNOCK ARTISTS: Members are reminded that the AGM is scheduled for today, Friday, at Wannock Village Hall. This will be held at 7pm to 9pm. Subscriptions can be paid at that time. Refreshments are available after the meeting and the groups archives will also be on show. The next demonstration takes place on January 27 when Josie Tipler will be painting an animal portrait in pastels.
