Winchelsea pupils go Down Under
CHILDREN from St Thomas’s Primary School at Winchelsea showcased some amazing creations from their Awesome Australia project.
An exhibition of children’s work was displayed in the school last week and included whole class and individual pieces created on a variety of media.
They included a life sized emu, a duck-billed platypus, boomerangs, aboriginal art paintings, sculptures and beach buggies.
Diane Nunn, from the school, said: “The children have really enjoyed learning about all aspects of Australia, from it’s history and geography and to it’s wildlife and art.”
