Worthing to wave goodbye to NCP contract next year
At a full council meeting at Worthing Town Hall on Tuesday, the intention to take back control of the town centre car parks in 2014 was affirmed, bringing operations in-house in a bid to re-invigorate the town centre.
Councillors also heavily criticised the on-street contract with NSL, pledging not to sign another deal unless West Sussex County Council ploughed profits back into the town, and not elsewhere in the county.

Hide AdCouncil leader Paul Yallop said the message was “loud and clear”, and he would not agree with any suggestions to negotiate again with NCP.
During a passionate meeting, the council was presented with two petitions against the renewal of the contracts – one from local traders and another from the Worthing Page.
