The Lido, in Marine Parade, was praised for its maintenance and presentation of its outdoor area in the assessment from a Visit England mystery shopper. The assessor said they observed visitors of all ages enjoying themselves on the children’s rides and attractions, and commented that they appeared to be well maintained and effectively supervised by staff. The Lido’s marketing manager Philippa Bradbury said: “We are absolutely delighted and all the staff are really pleased. It’s a really nice boost for them.” The assessment looked at all aspects of the visitor experience, including attractions, activities, buildings and customer service – with new artwork and the refurbishment of rides given a special mention.
