The result kept unbeaten Saxons a point clear of Horsham II at the top of South Hockey League Sussex Area - Division One. Saxons fell behind to a soft goal after five minutes, but roared back to lead 3-1 at half time through a brace of goals from Jamie Busbridge, pictured, and one by Danny Burnett. Crowborough cut their deficit to one by scoring early in the second period only for Busbridge to net a couple more for a four-goal haul and Dave Draper to get on the scoresheet. Man of the match was George Eldridge. Fifteen-year-old Will Orr made a promising debut. A full report will appear in Friday’s Hastings Observer.
