It would have been good to end with a home win after a run of disappointing results but it wasn’t to be as Crawley’s poor form continued.
Despite both teams playing fairly equal in the first half, Elliot Johnson opened the scoring for the away side with a great left-footed shot from just outside the box before half-time.

Hide AdBarnet’s Akinde hit the back of the net just after the break with a right-footed sublime effort.
He doubled his tally of goals in the last minute of the game as he lobbed Crawley keeper Rose to get his team three points.
Barnet finish in 15th place after their performance at the Checkatrade.com Stadium. Meanwhile, Crawley Town finish in 20th place after their first season in Football League 2.
Hopefully for Crawley, new manager Dermot Drummy will be able to develop Crawley’s squad during the summer and they as a club will be able to develop for next season.

Hide AdOn the showing of the last few months he has his work cut out. New players will definitely be required for Crawley to compete in this league.
Gwion Edwards picked up three trophies at the Crawley Player Awards and Matt Harrold respectfully getting one.
Despite the loss, there was a great atmosphere after the game with players giving away their shirts, signing autographs and giving away their boots.
Let’s move on and look forward to next year and wish good luck to the new manager.
