Day: Very doubtful if we can continue
The Blues were left without a ground after parent company Sidley Sports & Social Club ceased trading at the end of April and now they are without a manager as well following the resignation of John Lambert on Tuesday.
Day said: “Obviously John’s resigned and I can understand his reasons for resigning I might add. It’s not an ideal situation and it’s very, very doubtful whether the football club will continue now to be fair.

As well as being without a home ground, the loss of Gullivers has meant the club has been unable to bring in its usual income from summer boot sales and three hard-working committee members have stepped down (for other reasons) during the close season.
Matters will have to be resolved soon because the Sussex County League’s annual general meeting is scheduled for next Thursday (July 11) and the new season starts in just over five weeks’ time.
