Although Hammond is the vastly more experienced of the two, it was Cook who was smiling at the end as he was part of an Albion side which ran out 3-0 winners in an nPower Championship match which ended 10-a-side.

Fellow former William Parker Sports College pupil Hammond, a 28-year-old midfielder who also started his career with Albion and then went to Colchester United, has made more than 300 senior club appearances.
