The Goodwood cricket ground could be featured in a BBC television programme this week.

BBC 2's Gardeners World came to film at the venue last August as part of a sequence on the development of the mower, lawns and sports turf.

The first part was shown in early April (episode four).

According to Goodwood, the second part (episode eight), which is being broadcast on Friday (May 7) at 9pm, is 'likely to include' footage shot at its cricket club.

A spokesperson added: "Filming took place last August during the heatwave and will be presented by the horticultural historian Advolly Richmond.

"Goodwood will probably feature in a seven-minute sequence with three other locations."
