Your full guide to this year's Arundel Festival Virtual Showcase

Arundel Festival of the Arts has come up with a Virtual Showcase to ensure that the show still goes on – despite a year in which actual festivals are off the calendar.

The Virtual Showcase runs from August 21-31.

Presented by Daisy Watson, this first episode shows the opening ceremony for the festival with the entertainment kicking off at the Victoria Institute with the popular local trio Superstrings (jonwigg.com/superstrings) followed by Vintage cabaret artist Dawn Gracie singing Chocolates Are a Girl’s Best Friend (dawnsvintagedo.com).

The chilled sounds of Worthing Steel pan duo Vic and Jim (https://www.worthingsteelband.co.uk) put viewers in a summer mood to open this episode at The Victoria Institute. Then it’s off to the cobbles in the heart of Arundel to hear the Big House jazz trio perform a track from their new album (https://bighouse.band/store) before returning to the Vic for soloist Will Hall leaving us as mellow as we started.

Up and coming Arundel singer/songwriter Victor Butt starts tonight’s virtual show and, staying in the Victoria Institute, we pop in on two artists, Sally Goddard (painter) and Milly Swan sculptor/painter) exhibiting as part of the Arundel Gallery Trail. Then, a nostalgic look back at the community events from past festivals before a reminder of how Arundel loves ABBA MAGIC.
