Just one of the nominations to have been received so far is Pagham firm Luvcarpets Ltd, which has been entered into the small business category, with just four employees.

Jack Keywood and Sam Shury have been nominated for the awards, with the nominee describing the company as a locally-based, family-fun company that supplies and fits ‘quality carpets and flooring at affordable prices’.

“Jack and Sam continue to work within the region and use local suppliers,” says the nomination form.

“They are committed to the region and have overcome the start-up issues magnificently. They are a credit to people their own age and I believe they should be local role models for future young entrepreneurs.”

As part of the application, a wealth of information has been provided to support the nomination and show just why Luvcarpets Ltd should be recognised.

The firm has also worked with the Love Your Hospital charity, which supports St Richard’s Hospital, in Chichester, as well as Worthing and Southlands hospitals.

Managing director Jack said he met Nicola Godwin and her team at the hospital and the partnership was one he wanted to continue for the foreseeable future.

“Nicola works selflessly for Love Your Hospital, and as a local businessman, working with such a good local charity and committed fundraiser is a joy,” he said.
