The West Cornwall Pasty Company shop in North Street closed its doors in March due to the national lockdown.

A sign in the shop's window suggested it hoped to reopen but eight months on and the shop has been gutted and its signage removed.

Part of the statement from March read: "As the safety and welfare of our customers and colleagues is our number one priority, and following the recent UK government advice to practice social distancing, we have now made the decision to temporarily close all of our high-street and travel stores from close of business on the 23/03/20.

"This decision has not been easy, but we feel we have had to take decisive action to protect our customers, our colleagues, our communities and our business.

"We will be offering our colleagues all the support we can in this time of uncertainty.

"This is a temporary measure, and we look forward to welcoming our customers through our doors when the time is right."

The company has been approached for an updated statement.
