Pubs in Midhurst and Loxwood to extend Eat Out To Help Out Scheme

Pub operator Barr & Barr’s Hospitality has extended the offer at The Onslow Arms, Loxwood, and The Wheatsheaf, Midhurst.

Eat Out To Help Out was a scheme intended to give a boost for the country’s hospitality sector.

It has meant a 50 per cent discount (to a maximum of £10 per person) at participating restaurants and pubs on Mondays to Wednesdays throughout August.

The scheme to get customers back to restaurants following lockdown has gone so well that Barr and Barr’s Hospitality decided to carry it on.

It wants to allow more diners to benefit from 50 per cent off food at the two pubs in the area.

A refreshed menu packed with quality locally sourced ingredients will be served throughout September and the two pubs are offering 50 per cent off, up to £10 per person, to those who prebook a table.

Pub director, Rob Barr said: “It’s been amazing to have both our pubs open since July 4 after lockdown and the Eat out to Help out scheme has been great for both us as a business and for our customers to get back out and enjoy a meal with family in a socially distanced environment away from home.”

The offer of 50 per cent off food will be available on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday throughout September.

Although drinks are not included in the extended offer, it still presents excellent value for diners looking to enjoy a bite to eat out whilst supporting local businesses, Rob said.

He added: “We are so happy to be able to extend the offer to customers new and old.

“All we ask is that you pre book your table with us in order to redeem the offer.

“As a small business we have been blown away by the support of the community and this is our way of returning that support.”

The offer will run until Wednesday, September 30 at the Onslow Arms in Loxwood and The Wheatsheaf in Midhurst.
