The local branch of Cards for Good Causes, based in the Council House, North Street, Chichester, will have to close on Wednesday afternoon before new lockdown measures come into force on Thursday.

The shop has only been open for two weeks.

Judith O Sullivan said: “All the staff and volunteers worked so hard to prepare the shop in these difficult times.

“With the sales ever more important to the charities this year, Cards For Good Causes were determined to make this happen.”

All profits from the card sales go towards both local charities – including the Sussex Snowdrop Trust, the Friends of Chichester Hospital, Brent Lodge Wildlife Hospital – and national charities, such as AgeUK, RNLI and others.

Judith is urging customers to make one last visit before Thursday. The shop will be open today, Tuesday and Wednesday from 9.30am to 4.30pm.

“With thousands of Christmas Cards and lots of lovely gifts and wrappings on offer, plus local calendars there is still time to pop into the shop,” she said.
