Chichester and Bognor businesses offering deliveries and takeaways during coronavirus outbreak

Here is a round-up of just some of the local businesses which will be delivering their products in the Chichester area.

Chilgrove Gin is now offering home-delivery of its local Sussex Gin in addition to groceries within the local area.

The company said: "We hope this will assist the gin-loving local community to heed government advice on social distancing without having to sacrifice their favourite local G&T and also reduces the number of people heading to their local grocery store for essential staples."

South Downs Water has teamed up with Southbourne Farm Shop to offer those over 70, and members of the community with underlying medical condition a free home delivery service from tomorrow (March 24), to those living in Fishbourne, Bosham, Nutbourne, Chidham, Southbourne, Emsworth, Westbourne and Prinsted.

Lucy Armstrong Chocolates in East Wittering will operate a delivery service its gourmet chocolate, including Easter eggs and cakes.

Crosslands Flower Nursery in Barnham will continue to supply florists nationwide via courier and doing local deliveries to nursing homes, businesses that are open, public and anyone who wants to brighten there lockdown.

Mutri Prep, a meal delivery service, is giving back to the community by giving care packages ( with toilet rolls, tinned good, hygiene kits and basic essentials) to elderly, homeless and vulnerable people in West Sussex.

Rick's Cafe in Bognor Regis is launching a free delivery service to ensure those who are self-isolating can still enjoy wholesome meals - from traditional English breakfasts to tasty lunches. The deliveries will be first and foremost for the elderly and vulnerable while other people can collect takeaway orders.

The Hornet Alehouse in The Hornet, Chichester is delivering beer and dropping things off for elderly customers.

The Elsted Inn pub in Midhurst is delivering hot food and essentials.

Gaterells Butchers in Felpham has teamed up Felpham Post Office and Grandé Wines to deliver whatever they can.

Unique Knit and Sew in Bognor Regis have set up a delivery service

The Lion Pub, Pagham, will be delivering hot food and essentials.

The Royal Oak in East Lavant is offering a takeaway menu of pub classics and home essentials, with delivery options available to some postcodes. The Royal Oak is also offering a free daily soup door-drop to anyone 70 or over, that is self-isolating in the area between 12 and 1pm.

The Welldiggers Arms in Petworth is delivering dishes from its pub menu as well as a locally sourced essentials box with vegetables, bread, six eggs, unsalted butter and milk.

The White Horse in Chilgrove will serve its usual pub menu for collection and is assisting locals with essentials such as eggs, milk and bread.

The Bear Inn, Pagham is offering a hot meal delivery service for those who are self-isolating or are vulnerable

Crimsham Farm CIC, in partnership with EcoSwap CIC, will be delivering fresh fruit, vegetables, eggs, milk and other essentials on a daily basis to Bognor and all surrounding areas.

Aldwick Pets is offering daily deliveries of Pet Supplies to Bognor and surrounding areas. Deliveries are contact-free and can be paid for over the phone.

Cheese at its Best, which usually trades at markets in the area, is now providing free home delivery in Bognor Regis and Selsey, and from next week, Chichester and Littlehampton.

Chichester-based Heat and Eat Clean is providing pre-cooked meals for vulnerable people and NHS workers, as well as vegetable essentials.

The Blacksmiths in Donnington have launched a home delivery service of its homecooked pub food, with delivery twice a week within a five-mile radius, with options to order as single dishes or in bulk to freeze for a later date.

Caroline's Dairy is delivering milk and ice cream from Chalder Farm, with free delivery with orders over £10.

New Lee Raj Indian restaurant in Shore Road, East Wittering is open for delivery and owners said: "If you need Indian meal, we open for pick up (with safe distance) and delivery (we'll leave the meal at your doors by contact via phone). We want all of our local people's stay safe and stay in!"

The Badgers in Petworth is running a drive-through take away service with pub food on the menu.

Langham Brewery, Lodsworth, is open with a drive-through and home delivery service.

Boxgrove Village Stores, Slindon Forge Village Shop and Kirdford Village Stores are all offering fresh fruit and veg, bread, milk, eggs and all grocery products for delivery.

Tony & Tony Fruits, which usually trades in Chichester market is offering a home delivery service of fruit and veg boxes.

The Hampshire Real Bread Company is delivering breads and pastries, with any profits made being donated to the NHS.

Refilled, a wholefoods, liquids and fresh produce store is making deliveries in Chichester.

Goodwood's farm shop is open, with Goodwood pork, beef and lamb, as well as milk, cheese and Goodwood beer on sale, with measures in place in the shop, so only one customer is allowed in at one time. There is also the option to pre-order and collect.

Arundel Butchers is providing home deliveries for its meat, steak and sausages.

Something Fishy is open for pre-order and collection as well as a free home delivery service for orders over £25. It delivers to areas North of Chichester on Tuesday, Sidlesham and Birdham on Wednesday, Bosham on Thursday and Chichester on Friday.

WE Indulge Catering is delivering groceries free of charge for orders over £25, within a three-mile radius of Chichester.

Greengrocers Munneries in East Wittering remains open and is offering free deliveries on fresh produce.

Bosham Catering is offering fruit and veg bags, as well as eggs, steak, sausages, bacon, ham and bread for delivery.

Zest for Taste is delivering its oil and vinegars, as well as dried herb mixes, sauces and dressings and kitchen gadgets.

Butchers MJ Penfold is delivering its meat in the Chichester area.

Adams Wholesale is delivering fruit and veg, dairy and bakery goods, with a £50 minimum.

Crimsham Farm in Pagham will deliver vegetables, fruit, pasta and other goods in the Bognor and Chichester areas.

Ecoswap in Bognor Regis is delivering eco-friendly products including kitchen and bathroom products, pet food and food and drink items.

Harrie's Coffee is delivering coffee beans and ground coffee to your door.

Novawash in Stockbridge Road, a service wash launderette, ironing and dry cleaning shop, are happy to collect, wash, dry, fold or iron any laundry in the local area.

The Richmond Arms in West Ashling is offering Friday and Saturday night takeaways of pub food and Sunday roasts for pick up and some local delivery is available.

Johnny’s Fried Chicken in Bognor Regis remains open for delivery, with revised opening times of 2pm-9pm Sunday-Thursday and 12pm-10pm Friday and Saturday.

Down to Earth in West Street Midhurst continues to provide deliveries in the Midhurst area, and orders for collection. The store offers groceries, healthfoods, organic veg and special diet foods. Orders can be emailed of phoned to the store. Deliveries are free in the Midhurst area for people who are self-isolating.

The owner, Dr Carol Granger, who is also a nutrition consultant, was keen to see that people can meet their nutritional requirements during the outbreak, and said: “People on restricted diets such as gluten-free may be concerned about obtaining suitable food during the outbreak, the store continues to have a good supply of these products”
