Jobs boost for Selsey as salad producer grows in size

A bagged salad producer in Selsey is set to expand and create 100 jobs in the area.

Nature's Way Foods was founded in 1994, and now has sites in Selsey, Runcton, Merston and Drayton,.

The latest expansion will see the Selsey site grow by 2,500 square metres to 12,400 square metres in total, making it the largest bagged salad site in the UK.

Gary Kilhams, general manager for Selsey site, said: “I’m proud to lead this exceptional site as experts in baby-leaf production. The demand for baby-leaf products, spinach, watercress and the like, is on the rise and we will deliver the best quality and service to our customers.”

As well as the expansion of the factory, the company is also creating 100 new roles in Selsey.
