One such change includes a new chef at The Half Moon and a new manager, Gemma, at The Star in Petworth,

Rosemarie took over as the manager of The Star last year and said the feedback from residents blew her away.

“It is exciting and we are looking forward to know who our regulars will be,” she said.

“We are hoping that the tourist trade picks up too. We have noticed there has been a lot more movement around the town.

“We have had a few people who have come to us and said they would be lining up outside the pub to come in. We have got a lot of regulars who have said they are very excited to be coming back.

“I am definitely looking forward to that, without a doubt. We have not seen our family for a long time and we are a proper little family.

“We are all completely Covid compliant and obviously we are going to have the hand sanitiser gels and a separate entrance and exit.”

“We will do whatever the government advises.”
