Pupils’ chance to join Mocktail Apprentice Project

Created by Horsham Matters the Mocktail Apprentice project combines the teaching of genuine cocktail making techniques with awareness raising of the issues around alcohol use.

After debuting in the Horsham District the Mocktail Apprentice project has now teamed up with Sussex Safer Roads partnership to bring this exciting challenge to 10 schools across Sussex.

The first stage in the Mocktail process is a year-9 assembly where the dangers of alcohol misuse are discussed and then the Mocktail Apprenticeship team return to the school later to run the main Mocktail Apprentice Workshops, during which the students not only design a Mocktail from scratch but also the sales infrastructure needed to take it to market. They will need to consider a wide range of health and road safety information as they create their Mocktail, as well as creating a brand, pricing structure and promotional strategy.
