Regis in Crane Street is pioneering the new concept of dual appointments, or ‘Friend-snips’ so friends can get treatments done together.

The idea came about after staff found 82 per cent of women wished they could see their friends more often.

They found that almost 40 per cent only saw their closest companions a couple of times a month or less, a spokesperson for the company said.

Regis has 130 branches across the country, providing a range of hair and beauty treatments and services.

A spokesperson for the company said: “You will always leave feeling completely pampered and transformed.”

The salon is now calling for local friends to make the most of their precious time together by booking in for a dual appointment to catch up over a pampering blow dry.

Alev Goksal, regional manager at Regis Chichester, said:

“With our increasingly busy lifestyles we understand just how hard it can be to take time out to meet up with friends, so it was no surprise to learn just how many women wished they could spend more time together.

“We wanted to give women in Chichester the chance to make their visit to the salon an experience to be shared with a friend, rather than just a job ticked off the list .

“‘Friend-snips’ provides the perfect opportunity to make the most of that time in the salon chair.

“We can’t wait to welcome local friends and look forward to providing the ideal excuse for a catch up over a pampering session.”
