Coronavirus: Chichester farmers’ market called off

The council has announced that this Friday’s farmers’ market has been called off due to the coronavirus outbreak.

A spokesman for Chichester District Council said it was due to the ‘rapidly changing situation and the latest Government advice on the coronavirus’.

In a post on Twitter, the council said: “We have taken the difficult decision to cancel this week’s Farmers’ Market.

“We apologise for any inconvenience, but hope our customers understand why we have come to this decision.”

Chichester Farmers’ Market usually runs on the first and third Fridays of the month, 9am until 2pm in the City Centre pedestrian area.
