At Midhurst Rother College, year 13 students celebrated in style at Cowdray Park Golf Club. The successful evening saw speeches from student Ben Carter, pastoral leader Jayne Beesley and outgoing director of key stage five, Mark Philips, while Chris Greenslade and Amy Homewood were crowned prom king and queen
At Bognor Regis Community College, 180 year-11 students raised £1,000 to pay for a firework display to finish the traditional prom. The eight-minute show of explosions and colours drew gasps of astonishment and cheering as the students watched in their ballgowns and dinner jackets.
Students from Chichester High Schools for Girls and Boys were treated to a walk down the red carpet at Fontwell Racecourse. The schools’ joint prom committee came up with the theme of a night at the movies and decorated the venue with film posters and display boards, donated by Cineworld Cinema in Chichester.
A message from the Editor, Gary Shipton: In order for us to continue to provide high quality and trusted local news, I am asking you to please purchase a copy of our newspapers. With the coronavirus lockdown having a major impact on many of our local valued advertisers - and consequently the advertising that we receive - we are more reliant than ever on you helping us to provide you with news and information by buying a copy of our newspapers. Our journalists are highly trained and our content is independently regulated by IPSO to some of the most rigorous standards in the world. But being your eyes and ears comes at a price. So we need your support more than ever to buy our newspapers during this crisis. Stay safe, and best wishes.
