Chichester bar’s charity event with a twist

Trents will be adding a fun new twist to their annual charity coffee morning- topless waiters!

The bar holds a coffee morning for charity every year, and last year raised £300 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

However owner Nick Sutherland felt things were becoming sterile, and wanted to spice up the event- so eight of his barman have offered to serve tea and coffee in just shorts and bow ties.

Mr Sutherland said: “We have been working with Macmillan for a number of years, and they gave me great support when my father passed away.

“We wanted to do something different this year and actually have fun whilst raising money for charity. So we invite people to come along have a coffee and a complimentary biscuit served by out topless waiters!

“It will be a fantastic event so bring your friends.”

There will be a collection box at the coffee morning, although the event is free, and 50 per cent of the proceeds made will go straight to Macmillan.

Members from Core Results, professional life style and personal trainers will also be at the event, on hand to offer free advice to visitors on how to stay fir and healthy while they have their tea or coffee.

The annual coffee morning will be held at Trents, South Street, Chichester on Friday, September 28, from 8.30- 11.30.
