Award-winning housebuilder Oakford Homes is creating the 17 two and three bedroom mews houses in Lamberts Lane on land sold to them by the trust of the former Midhurst Grammar School, with funding now being invested in Midhurst Rother College.

“Midhurst was voted one of the best places to live by The Sunday Times this year so we are proud to be carrying through that heritage with the construction of our new homes at Wells Mews,” said Chris Coates, managing director at Oakford Homes.

“It’s always our ambition to design and build homes which people will be proud of not just as they move in but for the many years to come. Hopefully all the thought that’s gone in to ensuring the houses sit comfortably within their surroundings, the details even in the brickwork, and the overall layout and landscaping will achieve just that.”

Oakford Homes has appointed Henry Adams estate agency to market the new homes at Wells Mews.

The successful agency’s head of new homes, Susan Wadsworth, said, “Having worked with Oakford Homes previously, we are already confident that the quality, from the foundations to the finishes, will be extremely high. The specification is also pitched at a luxury level for discerning buyers with Smeg kitchen appliances and floors finished with carpets and tiles.

“The location of Wells Mews is outstanding, tucked away but just moments away from the high street via a private footpath. The houses are right in the heart of this lovely market town which thoroughly deserves its recognition as ‘one of the best places to live in Britain’.”

The government’s Help to Buy scheme will be offered at Wells Mews designed to assist buyers who require a mortgage to fund their purchase.

The show home at Wells Mews opens on Saturday, November 5, at 11am, after which it will be open daily between 10am and 5pm.
