HELP is needed to support vulnerable young people as they prepare to take their first steps towards living independently.
West Sussex County Council is looking for people to come forward and become Supported Lodgings providers.
Supported Lodgings providers help vulnerable young people by offering them a room, safety and security as they prepare for adult life.
A special drop-in event will be taking place at County Hall, Chichester, on Wednesday, January 14 from 10am to 4pm to help people find out more.
Peter Evans, cabinet member for children – start of life, said: “Living alone for the first time is never easy, but for vulnerable young people it can be particularly daunting.
“That’s where our Supported Lodgings service comes in, as it provides a home for our young people who may have just left care or are unable to remain at home, but aren’t yet ready to live on their own.”
