Seaford College pupils are celebrating after receiving their A level results this morning with a pass rate of 97% and and A - C pass rate close to 75 per cent.
John Green who takes over as the new Headmaster in September said the results were particularly satisfying considering the non-selective ethos of the school: “The results at Seaford remain strong where students have realised their personal bests and they reflect both hard work and outstanding teaching and learning.
“This is the fifth year that our A - C pass rate has been well over the 70 per cent threshold resulting in Seaford ranking highly in the important value added analysis.”
He added: “We are thrilled that many of our students have secured places at top universities during this very competitive period.
Top performers were: Charles Cavanagh (from Chichester): 2 A* and 1 A: (to read Geography at Durham University),Tom Cotterell (from Graffham) : 2 A* and 1 A: (to read Geography at Exeter University), Roly Montgomery (from Graffham): 1 A* and 2 A’s: (taking a gap year), Yeva Agavan: 2 A’s and 1 A*: (to read International Relations and Politics at Leeds University), Tessa Brumder: 3 A* (to study Dentistry at Birmingham University), Ana Chiriac: 2 A’s and 1 A* (to read History and Politics at Cardiff University).
