JUNIOR aviation fans from Bognor Regis and Chichester have received a first-hand account of life in a war zone.

The 1st South Bersted Air Scout Cubs and the 461 Chichester and 2351 Bognor Regis squadrons of the Air Training Corps enjoyed a talk by air force personnel.

The event was the first juniors’ day hosted by the Arun and Chichester Air Enthusiasts Society, or Air Aces.

It started with a presentation by former chief Harrier test pilot John Farley.

A further presentation saw Cub Scouts Ethan Stenning, Steven Hughes and Benjamin Skinner presented with their Silver Chief Scout Awards by Bognor Regis Scouting District Commissioner Alison McCaffrey.
