On Saturday, May 21, 60 people turned out to take on a choice of three routes - three, eight or 18 miles.

The trust’s Abigail Rowe deemed the turn out ‘great’ for the first one and revealed ‘we hope to build on that for the future’.

She said: “So far we know we have raised more than £2,000 and we still have some to come in.”

There was little time to rest achey legs however, as the trust quickly swung into action to stage a golf event on Wednesday, May 25, at Cowdray Park Golf Club.

If that wasn’t enough, preparations are also well underway for AldingBOOM which will take place on July 2 this year.
