A GROUP of big-hearted women who earned a bumper amount in donations on a fundraising walk earlier this year have been honoured by St Wilfrid’s Hospice.

Lisa Kay and a trio of friends from Chichester Baptist Church were inspired to help after their pal Angela Sandes spent time at the hospice.

They raised more than £1,500 in the Moonlight Walk in June and now the group – named Angela’s Angels – have been named St Wilfrid’s top fundraising team.

To mark their generous achievement, Lisa, Val Doling and Jenny Green, who were joined on the walk by fourth member Fiona Holden, were thrown a special tea party by hospice staff on Friday and presented with their prize: a swim, sauna, steam room and spa plus a half-hour back massage at The Sanctum. They thanked all those who had suppported them.

Next year’s Moonlight Walk takes place on Friday, June 15. Click on to for more information.
