A centre in Chichester which provides day services for adults with learning difficulties is asking for donations of all unwanted clothes to help raise money for charity.
The Wrenford Centre , in Terminus Road, will be given 20 per cent of the proceeds from the clothes donation bank they now have proudly on display in their car park.
The centre, run by West Sussex County Council, will be donating the cash to help the Mwanga Rescue Centre in Kenya which cares for street children.
Judy Talbot from the centre urged the public to help fill the bin up with unwanted clothes, and duvet covers.
“It could be a couple of hundred pounds a year or if it goes really well then maybe more than that,” she said.
“It depends on the support it gets.”
She said she hoped it would become a popular place for employees at the many businesses in Terminus Road to drop off unwanted fabrics on their way to and from work.
If it goes well the centre is hoping to add a second donation bank to their collection to raise as much money as possible for the cause.
