Body found in search for Pagham man Ronald Wicks

Police have found the body of a man in a field near Pagham at around 2pm today, Tuesday, January 12.

Although the body has not been formally identified, it is believed to be that of missing Pagham man Ronald Wicks, a police statement said.

Ronald, 78, who had Alzheimer’s, was last seen at 11am at home in Pagham Road on Saturday, January 9, when he was visited by carers.

Police were informed he was not at home at 12.30pm on Sunday, January 10.

An extensive search of the area was carried out by police and the police helicopter.

Police are not treating the death as suspicious and the coroner’s officer has been informed.
