Bognor man killed in crash

Police are seeking witnesses to a fatal crash on the A29 at Shripney.

The incident happened just after 11pm on Thursday (September 22) on the A29 at

Shripney when a white Honda Civic saloon being driven north by a 23-year-old

Bognor man left the road and hit a lamp post and the brick wall of a house.

Ambulance crew attended to him but tragically he died at the scene.

No other vehicle or person was involved.

A Sussex Police spokesman said; “The road has remained closed in both

directions overnight whilst the scene is examined and essential repairs are

carried out to make the house and surrounding area safe for road users.

“This will affect early morning rush hour traffic, with diversions in place,

and we appreciate the patience of drivers while this incident is being safely

dealt with.
