A bomb found at Selsey beach this morning (Friday June 5) has been removed by a disposal team.
The Army Explosives Ordnance Disposal team deemed the shell, found near Bunn Leisure at 8.50am, not dangerous and took it away with them back to Aldershot.
A member of the public spotted the explosive on the beach and alerted the Coastguard.
The shell was below the high water mark and the disposal team arrived in time to remove it before the tide came in too far.
