BREAKING NEWS: Firefighters battle house fire in Slindon

Fire crews are currently battling a blaze at a home in Slindon.

The fire service got a call at 9.29am this morning, Tuesday, April 19, to say a property in School Hill had caught alight.

Six crews are currently in attendance, with firefighters from Chichester, Bognor (two), Littlehampton and Worthing (two) on the scene.

A West Sussex Fire & Rescue spokeswoman said: “The fire involves a first-floor bedroom and floor space and at the moment we have got four breathing apparatus, two hose reels, two jets and a triple extension ladder being used.”

There are no reports of any injuries, she added.
