Thursdays nightclub near Chichester could become a furniture showroom with a cafe under plans submitted to the district council this week.

The closure of the club in Drayton Lane, Oving, in June last year came as a shock to many in the community, with many taking to social media to lament the loss.

A planning application for a change of use at the site details ‘a furniture showroom with an ancillary cafe, retail and office together with associated minor alterations’.

Rooflights would be installed in the existing flat roof and a cafe terrace area created outside the front of the building.
