STAFF at John Lewis Home in Chichester was awarded a 10 per cent bonus as part of its partnership scheme.
The partners (staff members), as co-owners, each receive the same percentage of pay as Partnership Bonus, which changes from year to year depending on the performance of the business.
This year partners will share £145m in profit, which represents 10 per cent of pay or the equivalent of more than five weeks’ pay.
Rachel Wardell, branch manager at John Lewis at Home Chichester, said: “Bonus day is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the hard work and commitment of our partners (staff).
“In Chichester, we have recently introduced floor coverings to our successful furnishing fabrics service, further enhancing our existing range and delighting our customers.
“Our partners have played an important role in delivering a seamless experience that will ensure customers continue to choose John Lewis at home Chichester for their purchases throughout 2016 and beyond.”
The John Lewis Partnership is an employee-owned UK company which operates John Lewis department stores, Waitrose supermarkets and some other services.
The Chichester store, on the Portfield retail park, opened in April 2012.
