A SALON in Chichester is anticipating a national awards ceremony where it is up for two gongs.

Dawn Lawrence from Q Hair and Beauty is celebrating after being named a finalist in the Business Thinker category of national hairdressing competition – the 2014 Most Wanted Awards.

The salon has also been shortlisted for The Best Salon Experience award.

Dawn and the Q Hair and Beauty team will be heading to the Most Wanted Grand Final next Monday (September 1), at London’s Tate Modern, which will be hosted by award-winning comedian Jack Whitehall.

Now in its 13th year, the Most Wanted awards, which are judged by hair, fashion and business icons, and attract nominations from the beauty directors of leading magazines including InStyle, ELLE and Vogue, celebrate the incredible individuals and talented teams working in the £6bn-a-year UK hairdressing industry.

Presented by the industry’s leading publication Creative HEAD and sponsored by top hairdressing brands, the awards recognise excellence across a multitude of disciplines, including customer service, creative and technical skill and business innovation.

Winners will take home a trophy, a prize courtesy of their category sponsor and will receive editorial coverage in Creative HEAD magazine and online, ensuring their business achieves global exposure.
