The on-demand food delivery service Deliveroo has launched in Chichester today.

So far more than 15 restaurants have signed up to the service, meaning Chichester residents can now order their favourite food as a takeaway from local restaurants including Wagamama, Muchos Nachos, Shake-A-Delic, Prezzo and Harry’s Fish & Chips.

Restaurant manager at Shake-A-Delic, said: “Shake-A-Delic are delighted to have teamed up with Deliveroo, enabling us to reach an even bigger audience with our great tasting products.”

The delivery service will create work opportunities for more than 50 riders in Chichester over the course of the first year.

The aim of Deliveroo is to deliver food, which will be cooked fresh to order and delivered from the restaurant kitchen to the customers’ door within 30 minutes.

Caroline Hazlehurst, general manager at Deliveroo, said: “We’re extremely excited to be launching in Chichester and we’re looking forward to bringing some of the town’s delicious dishes straight from the hands of local chefs to customers’ doors.

“We already have a number of great partners across the town and we are excited to expand and widen the variety of restaurants on offer to our customers in Chichester over the course of the next year.”
