Draper’s Yard in Chichester is hosting an opening event.
Nestled in the courtyard behind Clothkits in the Hornet its ‘ShedQuarters’ are home to artists, jewellery designers, hairdressers and a beauty room.
Kay Mawer, founder of Draper’s Yard, said: “I wanted a place for artists and creatives to be able to display their wares.
“It can be hard when you start out so this offers a space for people to test the water.”
Businesses can pay month by month, and one shed will be available on a week by week basis.
Aaron Buckley, a graphic artist based at Draper’s Yard, said: “There is a great energy here, I just love the vibe.
“I’m new to the area so it has been a good way to meet people and I really like the space and atmosphere.”
Other businesses include George and the coffee bean and Loaf and Leaf.
Kay said: “Before I opened Clothkits I did a fine art degree and thought I would be a gallerist helping artists and creatives make a living from their work.
“I suppose I have come back to what I always thought I would do.”
The opening event is on Thursday, June 30 from 5pm.
