CHEAPER utility bills could be on the cards for energy-saving residents in Parklands.
A pop-up energy cafe in Chichester on July 14 will try to give people advice on switching energy providers, helping them find the best tariff for them.
The event is organised by Your Energy Sussex and Communities Matters.
The groups referenced a recent report by the Competition Markets Authority that the average household spends around £1,200 on energy each year. It said extensive research showed more than a third never considered switching providers
It has been claimed a ‘lack of awareness’ of available deals can deter people switching.
Your Energy Sussex is a West Sussex County Council partnership group. The pop-up cafes are happening across the county.
Organisers said the events would help ‘de-mystify switching’, making sure people were on the best tariff for them.
The Parklands cafe will run from 10am-6pm on the recreation ground in Sherborne Road. Other cafes include Tangmere and Sompting
