A SOCIAL club and school are set to benefit from a community support card scheme.
The Co-operative store in Westbourne has launched its 2013 scheme, with the goal of donating up to £10,000.
The Good Companions Club for over 55s could benefit from up to £2,500 and Westbourne Primary School is set to receive up to £7,500.
Free cards will be given out to customers who want to support the fundraising. They are then swiped each time they shop with the Co-operative making a donation each time.
Westbourne Primary School plans to use the funds to improve computer availability and resources to enhance the children’s education.
The funds will also help continue to provide sporting equipment and activities.
The decision on how best to spend funds raised for The Good Companions will be decided by its members; activities available include outings, events and a regular social group and lunches.
A free community party will be held shortly to officially launch the fundraising.
Community support cards can be picked up from the shop in The Square, Westbourne.
