DESPITE closing down signs appearing in the window of Chichester’s Blockbuster, the firm insist no stores are shutting.
Gordon Brothers Europe, who bought the video rental company in March, announced on Tuesday that Blockbuster was set to fall into administration for a second time this year.
However they said at the present time there were no plans to close any stores.
Closing down signs appeared on Chichester’s Market Road store this morning (October 31), but a Blockbuster spokeswoman said there were noplans to close the store.
“The stores are trading as normal,” she said.
“In the event a buyer cannot be found some stores may close.”
“We do remain hopeful that we will find a buyer.”
