IT WAS poetry in motion for a group of Kingsham Primary School pupils as they managed to scoop some top accolades in this year’s Chichester Festival for Music, Dance and Speech.
A group of pupils had to learn some poetry and recite it by heart, winning in three of the age groups for that.
They also won two awards for choral speaking.
Teacher Caroline Hodgson said: “We are absolutely delighted and the school is very proud. The students have worked very hard.”
The Chichester Festival for Music, Dance and Speech was founded in 1955, to encourage and promote the performing arts for all age groups, and especially for the young. The festival is affiliated to the British Federation of Festivals for Music, Dance and Speech of which Her Majesty the Queen is Patron.
