Having heard evidence for six days, the inquest has been adjourned until the Service Prosecuting Authority makes a decision on whether anyone should be charged.

James Brynin was shot on an operation in central Helmand Province on 15 October, 2013, in what appeared to be a friendly fire incident.

He was part of a troop which was carrying out intelligence work on the Taliban in the area of Kakaran, north east of Lashkar Gah, and after coming under fire from enemy forces, attempted to retreat.
