The British Airways i360 in Brighton has been closed since Saturday evening (March 25), after it became stuck for more than an hour with visitors on board.

But the ride’s website featured an announcement this afternoon (March 28) that it will welcome the public on board tomorrow (Wednesday, March 29),

However, bosses have not yet specified the fault that brought the ride to a standstill.

Earlier this week a spokesperson for the seafront attraction said the closure was down to ‘a temporary fault that technicians are investigating’.

Those who had bought tickets for the last few days were being issued with refunds or were given the chance to re-book, the i360 said.

It’s not the first time the ride has closed unexpectedly since it opened in August last year.

It closed for several days after the pod got stuck on February 27, leaving visitors stranded for around an hour. On this occasion the fault was down to a damaged data ribbon.

And the attraction came into trouble in September last year, when it became stuck on two occasions, both times with visitors on board. It closed for several days to fix the ‘technical issue’.
