Emergency services were called to Pococks Road, in Eastbourne, at 11.53am this morning (June 4), to reports of a local woman run over by her own car.

Builders working nearby and a passing taxi driver used pallets to try to raise the car, a Renault Dynamic, after the 79-year-old became trapped beneath it. Firefighters quickly rushed to the scene to help release her.
