Alpaca attacked by dog is put down

An alpaca had to be put down after it was attacked by a dog in Donnington last weekend, according to police.

A farmer from Selsey Road found a dog in his field covered in blood on Saturday, police reports stated.

The dog was secured in a shed before it was discovered that it had attacked and injured 15 sheep and one alpaca, the report added.

Sadly, the alpaca’s injuries meant that it had to be put down.
