Attack at Chichester pub

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of causing grevious bodily harm after a man suffered a serious facial injury at a pub in South Street, Chichester.

Police were called to reports of a fight at the Slug and Lettuce just after 11.30pm on Wednesday (January 5).

The victim, a man from Selsey, was taken to St Richard’s Hospital for treatment.

Two men, one aged 40 from Hayling Island and the other, aged 39 and from Chichester, were arrested nearby.

After being questioned by police they were later released on bail until February 3.
