Burglary near Chichester under investigation

Police are investigating after around £4,000 worth of items were stolen from a house in Itchenor near Chichester on Saturday, June 18.

Officers were called to an address in Shipton Green Lane at around 3.20pm, police have confirmed. Police believe the house was broken into sometime between midday and 3.15pm that afternoon.

Items including gold jewellery, silver cutlery and various ornaments were taken, police said.

DC Gavin Percival of the Priority Crime Team said: “This burglary happened on a fairly quiet residential road, but it was during the middle of the day.

“If you saw anything unusual or perhaps anyone acting suspiciously in the area on Saturday afternoon, then please get in touch.”
